Property Description
Quamby Pines is a self-contained farm stay B&B. It is located in a beautiful valley 8km from Deloraine. It is situated on 40 fertile acres and is used as a Miniature Hereford stud. Is an easy reach to either Devonport or Launceston at about 55km. This makes it an excellent value for money base from which to explore the whole of northern Tasmania.
The Chalet is a comfortable two-bedroom unit that is separate from the house. In the main bedroom there is a queen bed and in the second bedroom is a set of bunks with a queen-size bed on the bottom and a single on the top. The Cabin lounge room also has a double sofa bed, and there is a fully functional kitchenette. Both Units can use the barbecue area.
Unit 2 is attached to the house with its own separate entrance. It has one bedroom with a queen bed and ensuite and it’s own porch.
There is a television in each and plenty of magazines and tourist information on the local area. A continental breakfast is supplied although for an additional cost you can have a cooked breakfast and/or cooked dinner. The barbecue area is perfect for sitting and eating your dinner overlooking the bush setting.

Plantings of around 1000 trees.
Preservation of all original bush
Creation and maintenance of wetland area
Stocking rate of miniature cows well below capacity to give extra feed to wildlife, and miniature cows used to avoid compaction.
