Countrywide Cottages offers 4 star, pet friendly, self contained cottages. Choose from 4 secluded Great Ocean Road cottages spread over 26 acres of farm and pristine bushland. Ideally located in country Victoria only 25 minutes north of Lorne and 1.5 – 2 hrs from Melbourne, this is the perfect accommodation on Great Ocean Road, Victoria. One of our cottages even features wheelchair friendly accommodation!
Featuring the best of farmstay accommodation, each of our spacious cottages has 2 or 3 bedrooms to sleep up to 8 people and is set among the gum trees for a truly relaxing country experience. Fully equipped with modern facilities including entertainment and a well equipped kitchen, the cottages are individually themed and provides 100% dog friendly accommodation Great Ocean Road wide.
Our large property is ideal for long bush walks or mountain biking, bordering the Otway Forest Park. We also have enough room for a campfire outside your cottage on those starry nights, (seasonal fire restrictions apply), and many of our guests have enjoyed toasting marshmallows by the cosy fire.
Kids love our animals. While staying in our pet friendly accommodation, they are welcome to help us feed our array of critters - the bunnies, chickens, sheep and alpacas. Eggs are finders' keepers!
One of our hidden treasures is our recreation area with its pioneer buildings. Built in a rustic style, it offers a pool table and dart board, and ample space for a kick of the footy. It's also a great place for groups staying in the cottages to come together and have a barbeque, with a gas BBQ and undercover and outdoor seating.

Countrywide cottages, near Lorne, is ideally located for taking a trip along the Great Ocean Road. The inland route takes you to the Otway Fly, Lake Elizabeth or the 12 Apostles, and Lorne is just 25 minutes drive through the beautiful Otways. A perfect base to explore the fabulous Otway Harvest Trail, 32 businesses showcasing the wonderful produce of the Otways region.
The Cottages
Each cottage is decorated in it's own theme - choose from Ferny Reach, the Igloo, the Villa or the Canopy.
All have open planned living/lounge, dining and kitchen areas and are heated with cosy wood heaters, as well as split system heating/cooling for a more instant result. The Igloo is purpose built for wheelchair access.
Outdoors you will find a private wood BBQ, picnic table and camp fire in front of your cottage (seasonal fire restrictions apply). A picnic set is provided for outdoor use.
The Canopy, Villa and Igloo cottages each have secure fencing around the front of the cottage allowing a huge area for safe romping by children and pets alike, while still allowing access to the verandah and cottage via the entrance steps.
Bush walks start from your front door, meandering around the property and out over the fence through to the Otway Forest Park.
We are a non smoking property - sand pots are provided on verandas.

Our policy at Countrywide Cottages is to make sure we are doing anything we can to reduce our carbon footprint. We go well beyond simply living off our magnificent bushland setting as our environmental mark in the tourism industry.
