Property Description
Amarant Retreat offers three luxurious king suites with their own private bathrooms/ensuites, two loft suites and fully licensed dining room serving seasonal produce.
Valleyview suite is spacious and also has an exclusive courtyard where you can sit and relax quietly in privacy surrounding by garden greenery.
Mannaview suite offers views over treetops and through to the Yarra Valley below. Located well away from communal areas, this room offers ultimate privacy for the romantic couple.
Yarraview suite is centrally located, however, very quiet and restful. Its luxurious and cosy ambience is nutured in purple hues complimented by original artwork.
Mannaview Loft Suite is a large area overlooking magnificent views of the Australian Manna Gums surrounding Amarant and views of the Yarra Valley beyond. It has a king size bed + king single bed and a king single bed in loft over. Mannaview Loft Suite is suitable for 2-3 adults or 2 adults + 2 children.
Valleyview Loft suite caters for 2-6 people comprising 2 king rooms and loft area (over the rear king room). The loft area houses 2 single beds. The Valleyview Loft Suite has its own private bathroom facilities and cosy reading area. A small outside seating area is available for exclusive use of Valley Loft Suite occupants. This area is suitable for a couple or family/group (up to 6 people).
Yarraview Dining:
- Gourmet breakfasts and dinners are served in the Dining Room.
- selections of wine from the private cellar where there is a large stock of local and interestate wines of distinction.
- wood fire in the conversation pit
- Dinners and/or breakfasts are included with your accommodation (as booked),
- Any requirement can be catered for with notice, such as personal 'lunch baskets' which can be prepared to take when visiting the highlights of the Yarra Ranges National Park or local wineries.

Amarant's unique function room is ideal for small weddings, planning meetings and workshops. Seating for up to 30 theatre style, 14 boardroom set-up or 16 for yoga/meditation or floorwork, gives your group the opportunity to celebrate, communicate or contemplate in a secluded personal space and sole occupancy. Natural light and bush and valley views compliment any occasion. Eco-friendly accommodation/catering and conference/meeting packages available.
Environmental Initiatives:
Power
- conventional lighting is being phased out and replaced with energy efficient globes wherever possible.
- 100% green power
- energy-wise guests are encouraged to switch off lights and limit use of hot water.
Water
- supply is purely from rainwater supplied from 3 x 20,000 litre tanks with back-up from a natural spring if required.
-as rainfall has decreased by 30% in recent times, water-wise guests are encouraged to keep showers to a reasonable time to help reduce overall usage.
Waste
- bulk buying of products with minimal packaging.
- all green waste is composted and recyclable waste recycled.
Chemicals
- all cleaning products used are environmentally friendly.
Building Design
- architectural award winning design maximises heating/cooling of the building.
- the wood heaters are fueled by fallen trees on the property and are located in the lower section of the building allowing warm air to rise naturally throughout the building.
- cooling breezeways capture the upward thermal draft to coo down the building in warmer weather.
- insulation has been installed in areas being renovated.
